Edmund was a graduate of Colby College, class of 1856, He practiced in Albion one year and moved to Waterville where he remained the rest of his life. He was elected to the House of Representatives for 2 terms serving as Speaker in 1873. He was then elected President of the Senate. Edmund Webb and Abbie are in 1880 census of Waterville 'attorney at law'. He published a book on Railroad Law.
